Proper Bagel pictured:
Proper Bagel has a full menu of bagels, bagel sandwiches, avocado toasts, and pastries. You can also taste test any of their decadently flavored cream cheeses! I recommend the Avocado toast with a fried egg on top and sweet potatoes as a side.
As busy as Fido can get some mornings, I always say their food tastes like it was made with love. I would recommend their Local Latte with a Village Scramble; Scrambled eggs with veggies and feta.
Franklin Juice Co.
Healthy juices, smoothies, and acai bowls available on 12th Ave South and in The Factory in Franklin. They truly make the best acai bowl I have ever had! I recommend ordering the Bon Bon bowl with hemp seeds and coconut shavings on top.
Berry Hill’s hidden gem! Vui’s Kitchen is a fresh and authentic vietnamese restaurant. All ingredients are fresh and local and the staff is extremely welcoming. I recommend bone broth to start, Summer Rolls, and (my favorite) the avocado shake for dessert!
Bartaco is one of my most frequent dinner destinations. The tacos are never a bad choice and you can order them with lettuce instead of tortillas to make them even lighter if desired. My favorites are the chicken lettuce tacos, cauliflower rice bowl, and street corn or guacamole as a side. Make sure to ask your server about their “secret taco” of the month too!
Always a good time at Tavern with great food, drinks, and music. I recommend the Buffalo Cauliflower to start and a Kale Salad with grilled salmon for your entree. And if you are craving dessert, you can roast marshmallows at your table!
Butcher & Bee
A great dinner spot located in East Nashville. The menu is always updating with the most seasonal dishes. They are mostly smaller in size and meant to taste and share! The Whipped Feta is a must try as well as the Fire Roasted Carrots and Bacon Wrapped Dates.
5th & Taylor
The menu is always outstanding with an atmosphere and decor to match. I would definitely recommend making a reservation in advance since this is a popular weekend dinner destination. The King Salmon and Roasted Cauliflower with Quinoa are my go-to dishes.
Even if you are not a vegetarian, The Wild Cow is serving up some if the most delicious plant based dishes that are sure to leave you more than satisfied. The Lentil Bowl, Sweet Potato Tacos, and Portobello Burger are all great options! Great for Lunch or Dinner.
Graze is located in East Nashville and is more of a lunch/brunch spot than dinner. Their menu includes all vegan, vegetarian, and some gluten free options as well. For Lunch I recommend the Crispy Brussels and Mushroom Sandwich or Seitan Bahn Mi and for brunch you can never go wrong with the Breakfast Bowl or Burrito.
Avo is a vegan restaurant offering both raw and cooked options. All organic, local, and plant based ingredients are used in their dishes as well as their libations. If you have never tried an Avocado Margarita, this is the place to do so! I also recommend the Wild Nashville Salad, Sesame-Nori Popcorn and the Roasted Acorn Squash Bowl.
AMOT Eatery is a gluten free restaurant that allows anyone with a gluten intolerance or Celiac Disease to finally enjoy fried chicken! Gluten Free Chicken and Waffles, Black Eyed Pea Felafel, and Sweet Potato Fries are my top picks.
Vigor Fitness & Wellness Studio

Percy Warner Park Stairs and Trails
If you are the outdoorsy type Percy Warner park has the most beautiful hiking trails. The stairs are also great to get some prime cardio in with a gorgeous view. Fall is the best time to explore the park. You can walk or run through the back trails and they are clearly marked so you wont veer off the path.
Located in the Gulch, Hotbox Fitness Studio offers strength training, kick boxing, and yoga classes that are sure to make you break a sweat. Paired with the newest and hottest tracks, Hotbox fitness makes your workout out fun and effective.
Street Workout Park
Right beside the cumberland river near Ascend Amphitheater is a calisthenics park that allows you to create your own workout while enjoying the view of downtown Nashville. The park is open to the public and includes parallel bars, low bars for pushups, pulp bars, high bars and incline benches.
Five Daughter’s Bakery
Two words… Paleo donuts. Five Daughter’s Bakery is a local treasure located in 12th South, East Nashville and Franklin. This is one place you can not pass up on your trip to Nashville. For the fitfoodies out there, the paleo donuts are a must but a bite or two of their famous 100 Layer Donut is well worth the sugar rush!
The coffee drinks are delicious and they offer an almond/coconut milk blend for those of us who stay away from dairy. My favorite, and frequent, order at Crema is a Honey Latte with an order of Avocado Toast. The toast is smeared with goat cheese, smashed avo, and topped with crushed red pepper and sprouts.
The Jam Coffee House
My favorite thing about The Jam House is that their menu lists every ingredient and their health benefits as well! They pride themselves on serving only natural, organic and local ingredients. I am a huge fan of the detox tea (hot or cold) and the Popeye Smoothie.
There are countless flavors of all natural and delicious popsicles. They have both “cream” and “fruit” based popsicles and flavors include sweet, tart, spicy, fruity and nutty. The Ginger Honey popsicle and Avocado Popsicle are my favorites!
